The Big ET Day!

19 Jun 2014, Thu

The day has finally arrived. It's ET Day! We arrived KKIVFC at 8am, had my short briefing followed up BT. Asked the nurse to estimate my ET timing and was told around 10am. Started drinking my 500ml water after BT and waited, and waited, and waited. My tide starts to rise and still waiting.

At around 10:30am, it's finally my turn. DH and me went into the procedure room and waited for THH. He arrived 10 minutes later and the first thing I told him was, "Dr Tan, I wanna pee oredi." Lol. He went to get my embryos status and came out with a huge smile. I have 10 surviving embryos and they'll transfer 2. Not that the others are no good, but rather, they're all good quality embryos.

Checked my information and THH did the procedures. Once done, he said all the best and told us the 2 transferred were Grade 5 embryos. Wow! PRAISE GOD! Grade 5 is the highest and best in KKH's standards! THH told me to rest well and wished me all the best and left (he has a case waiting at OT).

Embryologist Chong came out and told us a brief report.

18 Eggs Retrieved
15 Survived & Injected with DH's Troopers
10 Fertilized
2 Grade 5s Were Transferred
8 Grade 4s and 5s will be sent for freezing

Actual number froze will only know when we go get the report on 4 Jul.

Now, let's meet Baby Faye & Baby Kaye.
We were so happy with the results and busy watsapping Meralodge the updates while hopping on the cab for lunch @ Orchard Gateway. I have this strong craving for Shrimp Dumpling Noodles so we went in search for Noodle Place. Lunch was simply yummerlicious. Later did I realised we forgot to collect out medication! Nmind, eat first and go back later to collect.
Went back KKH after lunch and queued at the pharmacy. My medication for the next 17 days till BT to help support the pregnancy and aid implantation.
Headed home after collecting the med, showered, inserted the medication and NAPPED! Felt a little bloated and that's about it.
