2nd Appointment.. Review Time..

It's 2 May and we've been waiting for this day for the longest time ever.. Why?.. Because it's our medical review time at KKH!.. Today will also be the day we're gonna officially confirm with proceeding with IVF.. Exciting!!!

The day started out really good for us and me, especially.. Found out at 8am that the MRT Northbound Line towards Jurong was down!! For a good hour or so.. Thank God hubby's carpool buddy had to drop by his office to collect his course notes (he's supposed to be on leave today) and came over to pick hubby up for work.. If this didnt happen, hubby would have been stranded with MRT down time.. Oh gosh.. Thank God for Dinesh.. And for me.. It's just great.. We (my buddies and me) had our favourite fried mee siam breakfast brought all the way in from J.B.! We simply love this fried mee siam sold by this old chinese aunty.. We got a bad news that she's gonna retire in July.. So sad!.. Her mee siam's oh-so-sedap.. Got the old school taste leh.. And the fried chicken.. Yummy.. Think we must eat more often before she retires and we'll have to miss it forever.. *sob sob*

It's 12noon and time to cheong out of office and head down to KKH.. Got a cab via Grab-Taxi app and got it in less than 1 minute!.. Good app!.. Picked hubby up from Novena MRT since I'll be on my way.. Arrived at KKH @ 12:49pm.. Got myself the queue number and headed for lunch..

Hubby's been craving for McD since last night so we decided to have that for lunch today.. I took the McD spicy challenge Level 4 Mala Burger set while hubby have his favourite (and safe) McSpicy set.. First bite into the Mala burger and it tastes ok, k la a little spicy la.. But as you eat on, the spiciness wears off and it tastes rather salty.. I dont quite fancy the taste, especially when it's salty!.. But I do have to admit I like the grilled chicken.. Tender and taste like Satay meat.. Yum.. Apart from that, nah.. I still prefers the good ole' McSpicy..

Waited for Dr Tan for an hour as he was busy at the IVFC with ERs and ETs.. Some ladies from the forum were actually @ IVFC waiting for/were with Dr Tan.. 1 lady reported on SMH Forum that her ER's completed and another was still waiting (since 10:30am) for Dr Tan to do the ET for her.. So I knew I'd have to wait for some time before he heads back to Clinic D..

Doesnt matter.. Entertain myself while waiting watching Empress Ki.. And we were kinda surprise that we only waited for an hour and he's back.. My medical report's rather good and Dr Tan seems pleased with it.. We asked all the questions we had in our notepad and got all our questions answered.. We headed over to IVFC to book our briefing/counseling/pre-IVF appointment and the earliest will be on 22 May.. Oh gosh.. Briefing also have to wait so long ar.. Sigh.. Nmind.. Better than not..

Took a cab to Bugis Junction.. Wanted to have dinner at the newly opened, famous Yoogane Galbi which has been the hot topic on FB since it's opening yesterday.. Since we're early, we popped over to Frames & Lenses to say hi to some old friends and chit chat a little.. And window shopped a little before we head over to Yoogane at 5pm.. To our disappointment, they're closed and only ready for biz at 6pm!.. WHAT!!!.. FB didnt say got rest time leh!!.. And we found out.. They were totally sold out during lunch and hvta prepare more food for the dinner crowd.. So disappointing!.. 6pm will be too late for us as we have Cell Group tonight.. We abandoned the dinner "project" and promised each other we'll be back on 22 May after briefing to whack up the galbi!..

We walked around aimlessly for about 15 minutes not knowing what to eat.. Japanese along the main road?.. Nandos?.. Ajisen?.. Until finally we decided BUGIS+!!.. Walked over, headed upstairs and walked aimlessly, yet again.. Poulet? Nah, hubby no mood for "ang mo jiak".. Prata shop? Nah, too oily leh.. Taiwanese? Nah, all the deep fried things.. Laksania? Nah, me smell the coconut feels pukey.. Crystal Jade Viet Cuisine? Nah, hubby not in the pho mood.. Thai Express? Ah, maybe! But tomorrow going Beerthai leh!.. Some Jap restaurants? Nah, menu dont look appetizing.. NO! NOT RAMEN CHAMPION!.. Asian Kitchen? Hmmmmm.. Ok, let's go have the Mala duck.. So here we are at Asian Kitchen!.. All these plus 2 rice and a can of coke costs us S$38.. Wah lau.. Eat out in Singapore very expensive affair leh!!..

Headed over for Cell Group after dinner.. Had a GREAT time at Cell.. Updated everyone on my medical report and what Dr Tan said.. Everyone prayed for God to bless us with a natural BFP instead of having to go through IVF.. Praying hard and hoping for a surprise..
