The Unexpected..

19 Apr 2014, Sat

It's Saturday again and it's THE UNEXPECTED MUSICAL at Church.. We weren't expected to be here today as we've actually given up our "seats" to others who may need it more than us, after my colleague has declined my invitation for this musical.. But we're offered 2 tix from our ACGL as her guests had also backed out at the last minute.. So here we are.. In church, watching The Unexpected..

For those who're not aware, COOS has got a great team of creative arts people.. All musicals in COOS are performed by our very own church members.. It's the same this and every year.. We're really impressed by the casts.. How can anyone who's not a professional in this trade be this good?.. It must be that wonderful gift from God that they're able to dance and move and sing this well.. Enjoyed the musical tremendously.. Bravo guys!

We headed over to Dusol for our monthly haircut after service.. Time flies, I've already been visiting Dusol for almost a year! It all started when I wanted to so badly have a volume rebonding on my stubborn, dry, limp hair.. The only factor stopping me from doing it is the price!.. Our local salon can never be able to achieve it and I'll have to look at either a Japanese or Korean Salon to have it done..

Mar 2013 was the time I told myself.. Let's do it and stop procrastinating!.. Did many researches on which salon to go to.. And mind you, I wanted a REAL Korean salon run by Koreans and not those fake ones k.. Ended up calling Dusol even though it's one of the more expensive one.. Why? Nothing, just a gut feel to go try.. Made an appointment with Edward, the Salon Ambassador (since I'm paying so much might as well get the top man to do it right?) and headed down as planned.. And I never turn back!.. Hubby joined me a couple of months later when our regular stylist start to screw up his haircut.. Hubby's reluctant initially cos of the price but I offered to pay for it to let him taste it himself.. And, yup, he never turn back too.. Hubby's been there thrice, and each time return home with a different look.. Edward's skills really is "no horse run"..

Dinner was at our favorite pasta place, Olive Vine.. I first tried Olive Vine back in 2008, while hubby and me were still dating.. He's brought me to Food Junction @ Great World City to try his favourite pasta.. And I was hooked after that.. They moved out of Food Junction @ around 2009 and started operation in their little shop at Bugis Junction Foodcourt, followed by Marina Square..

It's been a couple of years since we're back visiting them.. Shop's still the same, crowded as always.. We managed to get a seat rather fast this time round, probably cos it's already past 8pm and the dinner crowd had already dispersed, but nonetheless, it's still packed.. Ordered our favourite Aglio Olio and Root Beer.. We'd say, the standard of the Aglio Olio has dropped a little but with a little help from Mr Tobasco and Chili Pepper, all's good and yummy again..
